Desiigner Talks About His New EP ‘L.O.D.’ & Working With BTS | For The Record
Brooklyn rapper Desiigner skyrocketed to prominence in 2016 after his first commercial single ‘Panda’ caught the ear of Kanye West. After signing to G.O.O.D. Music, Desiigner appeared on two tracks from Kanye’s album The Life of Pablo including ‘Pt. 2,’ which samples ‘Panda.’ Thanks to the co-sign, the single reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 a few months later and even led to a viral lyrics video with Genius which inspired the creation of the ‘Verified’ series. Since then, Desiigner has put out a mixtape titled New English, appeared on the G.O.O.D. Music posse cut ‘Champions,’ and dropped a series of singles including ‘Tiimmy Turner’ and ‘Up.’

After the release of his new EP, California, Diplo has released another new video, ‘Suicidal’ ft. Desiigner. The video was shot in NYC by Shomi Patwary who is a longtime collaborator with both Diplo & Desiigner.
