Air Jordan 10 Retro “Seattle”

Back in 1995, in accordance with the release of the Air Jordan 10 during the 1994-95 NBA season, Nike released its very first City Pack series. It’s something that’s now done year in and year out. Yet. it’s never really been done quite as well as it was back in the mid-’90s.

Several of the sneakers that circled many of the NBA’s most exciting cities (at the time) have been retroed in the years since. The latest being the “Orlando” edition last December. Later this year, though, it looks like the beloved, the adoring and meaningful “Seattle” colorway will return for the first time since 1995.

Although now dissolved, the Seattle Supersonics franchise was once among the best in the NBA. Then Sonics guard, Kendall Gill, famously wore the “Seattle” 10s during the ’95 season. Soon thereafter, the Sonics — led by Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp — found themselves in the 1996 NBA Finals dueling Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. They would fall to the Bulls in that series but cemented themselves one of the best teams during that era of the NBA.

The Air Jordan 10 “Seattle” are said  to release this October. Jordan Brand has not yet confirmed those claims. Images of the 2019 edition have not yet surfaced. Those shown here are of the original pair and player exclusive, respectively.
