Big K.R.I.T. Breaks Down ‘4eva Is A Mighty Long Time’ and Freestyles On Sway In The Morning

When we talk about our top lyricists in the game, Kendrick and J. Cole are always top of mind. But it is about time the masses start mentioning Justin Scott better known as Big K.R.I.T. in that group consistently. From his debut with K.R.I.T Wuz Here, The rapper/producer has given us some of the most complete, soulful, lyrical and excellently produced projects that we have ever heard.

Newly independent after his break from Def Jam and a two-year absence, K.R.I.T is back to making that magic. He recently dropped a double volume 22-track project called 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time. The album features Tip, Lloyd, Bun B, Pimp C, Cee-Lo, Jill Scott, Kenyon Harold, Bilal, Robert Glasper Jr, Kenneth Whalum, Burniss Earl Travis II and Joi. With production from Hey DJ, Mannie Fresh, Organized Noize, Cory Mo, DJ Khalil, Supah Mario, WLPWR and of course K.R.I.T. himself.

The King Remembered In Time stopped by Sway In The Morning to talk about his growth, his struggles and everything in between. He also spits a top five freestyle that should make all wack rappers go into hibernation.

Watch the full interview below and go get that 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time.
