El Cappy takes it back to 1992 with his latest custom piece. Michael Jordan won his second NBA Title in 1992 against Clyde Drexler and the Portland Trail Blazers. Jordan wore the Air Jordan 7 during that Finals, and El Cappy has used that same model as the base silhouette for his “92 Champ” design. For this custom, El Cappy has painted the sneaker in a gold and black base with varsity red accents. On the tongue, El Cappy also added “23” branding to pay homage to the greatest of all time, Michael Jordan. Read the rest of this entry

Following a return of the classic White/Fire Red-Black colorway back in January, Jordan Brand is set to release a slew of different Air Jordan 5s in honor of the silhouette’s 23-year anniversary. Possibly one of the dopest of the retro drops is this “Oreo” take on the 1990 Jordan signature. Draped in black nubuck with an anthracite tongue and matching laces, the new colorway sees a black and white midsole, an icy rubber outsole, and “23″ embroidery on the lateral side of the upper near the heel. Stay tuned for further info on this new edition of the Air Jordan 5 ahead of its rumored November 2013 release.
One of the most anticipated releases of the year hits shelves this weekend at Jordan Brand retailers. The Air Jordan 13 “He Got Game” gained its nickname from the 1998 Spike Lee film of the same name, in which Denzel Washington’s character, Jake Shuttlesworth, wears the shoe. Set to release on March 16, 2013, the “He Got Game” Jordan 13 will retail at $170.
