I was just thinking last night when the full version would get released after we got the snippet last month. Here’s the full version of Hov’s $100 bill.
BlackTree TV caught up with Jay-Z to talk about “The Great Gatsby” film and some upcoming moves he wants to do in the film industry. Hov says that the collaboration came about when he was originally working on Watch The Throne, and says that the soundtrack is not typical because the songs are all featured in the film in a certain context.

This will appear on the Great Gatsby soundtrack dropping May 10th.
OG Ron C is back with another one of his infamous remixes. This time he gives Jay-Z’s latest release ‘Open Letter’ the Chopped Not Slopped treatment.
Last week, reports spread that Jay-Z would be looking to sell his share of the Brooklyn Nets due to the launch of his new sports agency, Roc Sports. He even addressed it in his recently released track ‘Open Letter’. Today, he confirmed the news via a post on his website and reveals that he will be indeed relinquishing his ownership in the Brooklyn Nets.
Check out what he had to say below. Read the rest of this entry
Jay-Z graces the cover of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People In The World issue. New York City’s Mayor Michael Bloomberg had the following to say:
Jay Z embodies so much of what makes New York New York. A kid from a tough neighborhood who grows up in public housing, overcomes lots of bad influences on the street, never lets go of his dream, makes it to the top — and then keeps going, pursuing new outlets for his creativity and ambition. When no one would sign him to a record contract, he created his own label and built a music empire — before going on to design clothing lines, open sports bars and, most recently, represent professional athletes. He’s an artist-entrepreneur who stands at the center of culture and commerce in 21st century America, and his influence stretches across races, religions and regions. He’s never forgotten his roots — “Empire State of Mind” was a love song to our city — and as a co-owner of the NBA Nets, he helped bring a major league sports team back to Brooklyn, not far from his old neighborhood. In nearly everything he’s tried, he’s found success. (He even put a ring on Beyoncé.) And in doing so, he’s proved that the American Dream is alive and well.

A trip to Cuba, a new record deal, becoming a sports agent. Yup, this Jay Z guy stays making headline news. So why shouldn’t the man himself address all matters. Let’s decode this “Open Letter.”
Hours after Jay-Z released his new song “Open Letter”, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney addressed the recording. He says that Hov followed proper protocol and didn’t communicate with President Obama in reference to his visit to Cuba.
After taking some time off, Hov makes his return to the music scene with this new record ‘Open Letter’ featuring Swizz Beatz and produced by both Swizz Beatz and Timbaland. The track was recorded last night and he addresses a few things on this, including his recent trip to Cuba, rumors of him selling his share of the Brooklyn Nets and his new deal with Universal.
