Video: Behind The Scenes: The Rap Monument (Atlanta)

What is “The Rap Monument” you ask? Apparently, it’s a song recorded in three cities with the span of 30 rappers. Noisey has put together a trailer for the Atlanta version of the track, which features the likes of Pusha T, Killer Mike, Young Thug, SL Jones, Scotty, CyHi The Prynce, and more. We’re curious to see who else they enlisted for this.

With 30 rappers on deck, we hope it’s not like a 20 minute long song.

Video: DJ Toomp: T.I.’s ‘What You Know’ Was Jeezy’s Song First

In an exclusive interview with from A3C ProAudio, veteran producer DJ Toomp revealed that before TIP got a hold of his instrumental, Young Jeezy, 8 Ball & MJG, Baby (aka Birdman) and Benzino had all recorded to the ‘What You Know’ beat?

It was T.I. though who came in and really made the song his, so he was given clearance to use the record as a single. The record went on to be one of Toomp’s biggest hits and it won him a Grammy.
